Sammy Angst

Amnesty: One Fic

Title: Torn Apart
Author: varkelton

Pairings: Sam/Other
Rating: What’s worse than NC-17?
Warnings: Graphic rape and torture. Extremely dark.
Word count: ~4,500
Cliche: Darkfic

Summary: Sam is taken by a demon.

Author’s Note: This is the precipitating event for An Issue of Consent and it takes place about five and a half months before the beginning of that story. It can be read as a stand-alone, but is actually meant to be read after the main story. Or, you know, not at all. My muse is sick and I needed to get this out of my head. Most sane people will not want to dwell with me here.

The man turned back, surprise evident in his clear gaze. His lips curved up at the corners, promising sin, and Sam shut his eyes against the sight.

Amnesty: One Fic

Title: Heaven in a Wildflower
Author: Zippit
Fandom: Star Trek Reboot
Character(s): Girl!Kirk, Uhura, Spock, Leondard McCoy, Sulu, Chekov, Pike, Sam Kirk, Winona Kirk
Rating: PG
Word Count: 600
Completed: April 9, 2010
Disclaimer: The characters portrayed within are not mine. They belong to the actors, producers, writers, and corporate entities that own them. I mean no disrespect and have no intentions of making a profit. This is merely a loving response to the original work.
Beta: Thanks to waldorph, vellum, and gardinha for the beta. All other errors are mine.
Author’s Note: Title from William Blake's Auguries of Innocence. I started this late last year because genderswap ate my brain but Trek fandom scared me so I figured I'd ease my way in with a drabble set. Errr, it wasn't supposed to take this long to get it done. Oops. Each drabble focuses on a moment in Bella's life. Also, I chose to rename my Girl!Kirk because though she's supposed to be a genderswapped James Kirk that doesn't mean she isn't her own person, different in her own ways, and thus warrants her own name.
Summary: Lorelai Isabella Kirk has had her share of important life moments.

I've given up on getting a bingo.  I just have two stories, and they aren't even in the same line.  So, in the interest of being eligible to do this challenge next year, I figured I'd better post them before I forgot.

Very late line

I think I'm still okay to post this, as the previous post says? I did finish a line, just ran into technical/real life difficulties during a house move and so this is the earliest I could get them posted. I know it doesn't count for scoring purposes, but nice to finish anyway.

Author: black_eyedgirl
Fandoms: Gossip Girl, Star Trek reboot, The Mentalist, Merlin BBC, The West Wing
Cliches: fusion with another fandom, amnesia, sleeplessness/insomnia, religious and other festivals, futurefic

Breaking the laws of classical aerodynamics
[Gossip Girl; fusion with X-Men; eventual Chuck/Dan; PG-13; 13,000 words]
The sign reads ‘Constance Billard and St Jude’s School for the Gifted’. Dan isn’t feeling particularly gifted today.

We Must Sweep Out the Shadows
[The Mentalist; sleeplessness/insomnia; Jane-Lisbon; PG-13; 1,000 words]
Jane isn't sleeping. Teresa's watching.

Waiting for Someone to Shake Me
[Star Trek reboot; amnesia; Kirk/McCoy/Spock/Uhura; R; 5,300 words]
The problem with winning your rank after a series of chance encounters is that when you forget them, you forget all the other important things too.

Ere the Winter Storms Begin
[Merlin BBC; religious and other festivals; Merlin, Arthur, Morgana, Gwen and implied; PG-13; 1,600 words]
The earth is burned and cracked. It wasn't always like this.

What we let the record show
[The West Wing; futurefic; Cast-Sam gen; PG-13; 3,500 words]
The year preceding the 2022 Presidential election is on record in a number of ways, publicly and privately. Semi-epistolary format.

Thank you for playing!

Since it's now the evening of September 1st, this post is the official close of this game of cliche bingo.

You can, of course, still write stories inspired by prompts on your card (or finish a story you've already started) and link to them here, although only posts made up to this point will count for scoring purposes. (Since there aren't any prizes, that doesn't actually make a huge difference...)

Thank you to everyone who took part!

Fandoms: Gokusen (drama), Hana Kimi (manga), Noir, Skip Beat!
Cliches: Apocafic, Day in the life, Documentation, Drunkenness and Inebriation

[New fandom tags required for "Gokusen," "Hana Kimi" and "Noir." Gokusen and Hana Kimi both have multiple media under the same name, so I don't know if you'll want to differentiate between the manga/anime/drama versions.]

My CardCollapse )

Tuesday, Much Like Monday [Day-in-the life - Hana Kimi (manga), Sano/Mizuki, G]
Show Business, Love Business [Documentation - Skip Beat!, Yashiro, Ren/Kyoko, PG]
Living Dangerously [Drunkenness and Inebriation - Gokusen (dramaverse), Shin/Yankumi, PG]
(untitled) [It's the end of the world as we know it: Apocafic - Noir, Mireille/Kirika, PG13]

I'm hoping to finish off my card at some point, but I'm a slow writer.
beauty and › the past you carry

Cannot call bingo, but this could be the beginning of a late card blackout.

I was going for all 25 squares because the prompts I liked best were in different lines—and then my planning got totally out of hand (I'm writing something of an epic for one of the squares), plus I forgot there was a deadline, so. Here's what got written on time:

fandom: American Idol RPF
clichés: vampires, second person narration, exhaustion, rare pairings, hypothermia, traditions

· vampires: Dilution — AI RPF, Kris/Adam, PG-13. 1900 words.
· second person narration: Gonna Close My Eyes — AI RPF, Kara, Kris/Adam, R. 5000 words.
· exhaustion: we may fall then stumble upon a carousel — AI RPF, Kris/Adam, NC-17. 12700 words.
· rare pairings: but you can distinguish Miles from Coltrane — AI RPF, Matt/Kris, NC-17. 12500 words.
· hypothermia: you steal my lines, you strike me dumb — AI RPF, Kris/Adam, NC-17. 8000 words.
· traditions: The Girl in the Library — AI RPF, Megan/Anoop, NC-17. 2800 words.
